Vocal Edge: Aria Ready, is the first classical focused spin-off from the hugely successful Vocal Edge competition.

Launched on July 2nd 2017, Season One of VE: AR took the classical realm of Smule by storm and got off to a great start with some amazing pieces of music.

Whilst waiting for the  competition to begin, the judges flexed their vocal muscles with some Mozart.

Round Two 

Blurred Lines

No... Not Robin Thicke in a classical style...  Sometimes songs can have blurred lines.  Is it classical? Is it operetta?  It is musical theatre?  Is it a hymn or folk song?!?!  These subjects of controversial classification were the next task for our vocalists.

Round Three

If It Ain't Baroque...

Our contestants certainly didn't need fixing.

Oh No... Not Again!

Next we revisited the song collection that almost every vocal student has sung from at one time or another, whether they liked it or not.  The book of Twenty Four Italian Songs and Arias.

Round Five

Isn't It Romantic?

Next on our tour of the classical music genre, was a pitstop at the romantic period - not all about love songs, but the music of this period did focus more on expression than technique, and had some wonderful pieces, as usual, performed beautifully by our contestants.
