It was time to try to combine a singing competition, with a social chat game.
It was time for Vocal Edge: Big Brother
Nominated for entry by the judging team, vocalists from all over the smule community were sent a golden ticket. If they ignored it, they knew nothing. If they weren't given one, they knew nothing.
Only if they showed interest by responding, were they told about the audition process for
Big Brother
Adapted from the concept of the global television show, Big Brother, and specifically from Big Brother USA, the contestants, or 'chatmates' went through a weekly process.
HoH competition: The HoH or 'Head of House' was chosen by competition. Singing to a theme, as usual in Vocal Edge, the highest scoring chatmate would become the HoH and control the eviction process for the week.
The losest scoring chatmate in the HoH competition, was evicted (based on the scores of their song)
Nominations: After this competition, the HoH had to nominate two of their fellow chatmates for 'eviction'. This was done in secret in the 'diary room', and then revealed to the contestants at a later time.
PoV competition: The PoV or 'Power of Veto' was the other weekly competition. A theme, lasting only approximately 24 hours, was given to the chatmates who were chosen to play. Each week, the HoH, the nominees, and three random players had to take part in the PoV competition.
The winner of THIS competition had the power to either save somebody from nomination (if they were a friend of ally), or to respect and keep the original nominations made.
If the PoV was used to save a player, the HoH would be forced to make a new nomination.
Eviction Vote: After the PoV ceremony was completed, the chatmates took part in a secret ballot, voting off one of the nominees, based on tactics and social game.

Ice Breaker Week
In order to break the ice, the contestants were placed into groups, and forced to sing a song, by a group.

Fact Week
Using the first letter of their name, (a fact), the contestants had to sing a song by an artist with the same initial as them.

Using a different set of facts, numbers, contestants in the PoV had to sing songs which had number sin the song title.

The next HoH competition was to sing a song performed originally by a child star... (under 16)...

...and for the PoV competition, contestants had to sing a genderbent version of those songs which children all across the world love... Disney.

Sugar & Spice Week
Things worked in reverse this week, so where we would normally end a week with a 'house vote', instead this week began with a house vote deciding nominations, and the PoV taking place.
The PoV this week was to perform any song by the Spice Girls.

The HoH was a huge power this week, because due to backwards week, where the house vote would normally choose who to evict, working in reverse, this became the power of the HoH, with the one and only vote. To win this power... just sing a song with 'Sugar' anywhere in the lyrics!

Body Week
To become HoH, the contestants needed to sing a song with a body part in the title of the song.
