Tell us a little bit about yourself... where were you born, where did you grow up, married with children?
I was born and raised in Virginia, but moved to the boonies of Alabama 2 years ago. I'm 30 years young, single mom of 2 amazing kids, who I only want to strangle about a dozen times a day... LoL. I am outgoing, and a really big flirt. Be forewarned. I'm basically a hopeless romantic with a really dirty mind LoL. If you wanna know anything else just ask me... (Brett says: I'm the biggest flirt on the team - and you're like the female me - don't try me!!!)
Do you remember the first CD/cassette (or even vinyl) that you bought?
First cassettes I bought were probably ABBA, LL Cool J, Brandy and Mariah Carey. First CD's were Jamie O'Neal, No Doubt, Bon Jovi and 5 copies of Celine Dion LoL I played that one out a lot....
What are your favourites genres and era of music?
I'm very eclectic in my music tastes. I love everything really, but especially R&B, Country, Pop, Hip Hop, Rap, and 80's Rock!
You have competed in a few seasons of Vocal Edge now... (and gotten sick every time!) Is Vocal Edge actually Ebola in disguise? No seriously... Having been involved in other competitions as well, what is it that kept you coming back to Vocal Edge, and made you want to be a part of the team?
LMFAO I have actually gotten sick each time I've competed for Vocal Edge, but I didn't let it deter me! VE is the most versatile comp on Smule and is the ONLY comp to push me out of my comfort zone and make me a better singer and artist of my craft. I knew I wanted to be a part of the team when I saw how much the other members truly worked together as a family and had a bond that you don't see in the judges/coaches of other comps. I judged another competition prior to joining VE and it was VASTLY different and did not run as smooth as VE, so that along with the fact that I'm basically the female version of Brett...made me want to be a part of this amazing team! (Brett says: OMG I didn't read ahead but I JUST called you that!!!)
Any fighting words for the other coaches?
I don't need to have fighting words. Just know that I have a win already under my belt with coaching, as well as coming in late in the game last season as a surprise coach and getting each of my team to top 12 and one of them to top 5. Just saying. You should be afraid. Be very afraid. I've been training hard for this. I eat coaches like YOU for breakfast! And then spit out the seeds! My gloves don't even need to come off, I didn't have time to put them on, because I've been too busy getting ready to win!!
You've been judging the Country Crusade spinoff - how are you finding it?
I have loved the Country Crusade comp so far! There is amazing talent among the contestants and I love country music so it has been awesome! I'll be sad when it's over, but I feel honored to be a part of it!!!
One final thing... Cream or Chocolate?
;-) well.... That depends on what kind of cream... LMAO I do love chocolate though... I'd have to say it's a toss up. Give me some cream on my chocolate!!!
