Tell us a little bit about yourself... where were you born, where did you grow up, married with children?

Well I'm Trond from Norway, I was born in a town called Haugesund. I'm not married and I don't have any children. I still feel like a child my self :)

Do you remember the first CD/cassette (or even vinyl) that you bought?

I believe the first cassette i had was one with Ray Charles one side and The Kelly Family on the other side. My first CD was one of those mix CDs and i think i used that CD until it died.

What are your favourite genres and era of music?

Well I don't have a specific style or genre. I like most, but i find musical theatre and opera very nice.

What made you want to be a part of the Vocal Edge team?

I competed in S3 and I really enjoyed the structure and fairness of the competition. When given a score i could always trace it back to the judging criteria, and also the deadlines were structured. There was no extending of deadlines or so on. I also enjoyed the people from Vocal Edge. Its this and much more that made me want to be a part of VE. I did not get to complete S3 as I got sick, but still I got to hang around with great people and have a good time. I'm proud to be a part of VE and everyone in it.

You have a background with a group in classical singing - do you think that will give you a different insight into judging for this season of Vocal Edge?

Well I do love classical music, and i hope that it can bring something good. I would recommend people that love classical music to sing that when possible. As far as judging goes I know I will bring a tough but fair judge because of my musical background. I have performed outside Smule in some pretty amazing places, and i will expect a certain standard.

One final thing... chicken or beef?

Duh... Beef!
