Tell us a little bit about yourself... where were you born, where did you grow up, married with children?

I was born in Chicago and raised as a private school kid in the Suburbs (straight as a line😇). I am married and the lucky mom to the coolest little girl in the world.

Do you remember the first CD/cassette (or even vinyl) that you bought?

My very first memory of vinyl records was forever staring at Michael Jackson's Thriller album....that white coat....so bright.... The first single I bought was Ugly Kid Joe "Everything About You" (what...)

What are your favourites genres and era of music?

My all time favorite genre has to be 80s pop. I was a product of my mom constantly listening to 80s love songs on the radio. Second favorite is 90s RnB and Gospel...it was when I discovered my love for singing. And I have to say it, Nine Inch Nails is its own genre..just saying...

You've been in many competitions - how do you Vocal Edge measures up and why should people audition for us, as well as the other great competitions?

What made Vocal Edge significant for me was truly the premise of the competition. It's not about how talented of a singer you are. It's about how willing you are to reach outside yourself and discover what you can do with the talent you already possess. Smule is an excellent feature for self expression. What Vocal Edge did was transcend great singing into the possibility of making art; and we are all artists at heart.

Is that why you wanted to join the VE team?

I have an enormous amount of respect for what the Vocal Edge staff have done these past 3 seasons. They truly want you to discover your potential as an artist and take that nurturing approach to coaching. They will be honest with you and they will push you. But it is give and take. They can only help as much as you are willing to work. I wanted to be that avenue of support for someone else, which is why I wanted to participate as a coach for Season 4.

What will you personally be looking for in the winner of this season?

The person who will win Season 4 is the person who leaves it all on the table. They strip away all misconceptions about themselves and are willing to discover how versatile they can be as an artist. In the end, you are the only one holding yourself back from winning.
